Coppa's is a family-owned grocery chain with deep roots and loyal customers — but its in-store experience didn't yet reflect the quality and care behind the brand. Each department had its own needs, layout, and rhythm, and the space needed to feel cohesive without feeling generic. The goal: elevate how shoppers move through and engage with the store, turning a routine grocery run into something worth exploring.
The Solution
A department-by-department design approach — produce, deli, bakery, and beyond — each treated as its own branded environment while staying tied to one consistent visual language. Wayfinding, materiality, and environmental graphics work together to guide shoppers intuitively through the space, inviting interaction and discovery at every turn. The result is a contemporary, authentic retail environment that honours the family's passion and gives a new generation of shoppers a reason to linger.
